I loved shooting this Forest Engagement Session with Erin and Romi! Even though the moment goes by in a blink of an eye, I will never forget the day my best friend and favorite person in the entire world, popped THE question. Although there wasn’t a crowd in the background cheering the moment I said YES, or a choir suddenly appearing into frame singing a celebration song, or even the cast of High School Musical breaking out into a choreographed dance (Okay, so now you know I’m a HSM fan), it’s still one of my favorite memories. That’s why I love engagements. I love photographing couples on engagement sessions because it brings me back to Carmen nervously asking me to spend forever with him over stumbled words.
Carmen and I had so much fun meeting Erin and Romi and capturing their engagement session in south Florida! After the first few minutes of feeling awkward in front of the camera, couples we work with tend to get more comfortable. THAT’S when we really get the chance to capture the love and joy they feel for each other! Erin and Romi weren’t the exception. We loved getting to know them, hearing about how they met, and how the proposal went down!
Speaking of, Romi definitely did right by Erin with how he proposed!
*Insert a hundred smiling emojis*
Both of them are Disney fans, so can you guess how he asked Erin? Okay, I’ll tell you! Why of course he asked her in front of the Disney castle! I mean, how magical, and how perfect, right? I myself am quite the Disney princess at heart, so when Erin told me the story, I melted, like my favorite salted caramel ice cream on a hot summer day in Florida.
Erin and Romi, you two are simply the cutest. Thank you for letting us photograph your engagement session! We can’t wait to be there with you both on your wedding day!
P.S. There are some incredible hidden gems in south Florida. If you want to know about this place, comment below!

I’m a travel enthusiast who calls Georgia home sweet home. I’m drawn to spontaneous adventure just as much as I value familiar routine — especially slow mornings with coffee in hand and my pup close by.
I believe the best photographs come from real connection and thoughtful intention. If connection and intention matter to you, you’re in the right place.
