A Downtown Delray Beach Engagement Session

As a photographer, it’s always a good thing when you click with your couples. We can always tell instantly upon meeting whether we are a good fit! We originally had Ashley and Dylan’s engagement session scheduled at a park, but due to the unpredictable south Florida weather, we had to change locations last minute.

It’s also a good thing when your couples are so laid back and fully trust you in choosing locations! We had never shot around downtown Delray, even though we often visit. After their session, I realized I may have a new favorite spot! Within minutes of starting their session, we could tell that we would absolutely fall in love with these two! One of the things we had in common is that Dylan proposed to Ashley in the same way Carmen proposed to me almost two years ago; during sunrise on the beach. How cute!

If that’s not cute enough, they brought their fur baby along just in time to capture a few images with her. And we adored the heck out of her! If you didn’t know, Carmen and I LOVE animals. You’ve probably seen our Staffordshire Nala on my instagram stories numerous times. Moments like these remind me why we do engagement sessions before our couples’ actual wedding day. Images are important, but the quality of time spent with them and getting to know them mean more to us!
