A Savannah, Georgia Destination Engagement Session
When Xuan mentioned to me that they wanted to have a destination engagement session under Spanish moss trees and by the beach, we decided on the perfect location! It’s been over a decade since I last visited Savannah, Georgia! We began their session at Forsyth Park. This beautiful 30-acre park has plenty of stories to tell, having been the backdrop for many proposals and weddings. It’s also home to many events and festivals throughout the year, including the Savannah Jazz Festival, art festivals, and many more!
I instantly fell in love with these two when we approached them at the start of their session looking like they just stepped out of a magazine. Xuan also gifted me (I mean US!) with macaroons, a sweet treat from a local French bakery in the area. If you know me, you know I LOVE ALL desserts. There’s really no bad dessert in my book.
Having two locations for your shoot is always a great idea! It provides variety of photos in your gallery, making the task of choosing a photo for your save-the-dates a bit difficult! That’s a GOOD thing, if you ask us!
About an hour before sunset, Xuan and Aaron headed back to their hotel for a quick outfit change and met us at the beach just minutes from the park. Their session ended beautifully with a sunset backdrop and some fun in the sand! Having lived in Florida for the last six years, we’re all ‘beached’ out, but shooting at the beach will never get old for us! As I always like to say, “You can’t mess up beach photos!”
Xuan and Aaron, thank you guys for being so fun to hang with, and choosing to have an adventurous destination engagement session. See you guys on the big day!
We're traveling bugs who calls Georgia home sweet home. We try and live life with equal parts spontaneous adventure and familiar routine, and cherish the mornings when we can just sit and enjoy our cup of coffees together! We're so glad you stopped by and can't wait for us to get to know each other!
