Alessandra + Alex Engagement Photos

Ever since I was a little girl at the age of four, I was enchanted by the thrill of exploration. I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, though my thirst for wanderlust had already been stoked by my first overseas trip, thanks to my mother marrying an American. Since then, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to discover the globe. From the snow-capped peaks of Sweden, the breathtaking Dolomites in Italy, to the vibrant markets of China.

As I delved into photography, I marveled at other destination photographers who traveled in search of breathtaking vistas. My spirit could not be chained to a desk; I yearned to venture out and discover new people, and places. Photography became my passport to the world. So, when Alessandra asked if we’d be willing to take their engagement photos in Jekyll Island, I replied without hesitation, “When do we leave?”

We drove all the way from South Florida to meet the lovely couple at the stunning Jekyll Island Resort to start off their engagement photos. The resort, nestled by the coast, was a charming haven for families seeking a relaxing weekend getaway. From biking to treasure hunts, the island brimmed with activities perfect for a family retreat.

Driftwood Beach

Our next stop was Driftwood Beach, a location that stirred my soul with anticipation. Though the beach was not as I had envisioned, with more people than expected, the beauty of the place remained undeniable. Driftwood Beach is a natural wonder of Jekyll Island, and we recommend scheduling your visit during low tide to witness the mystical driftwood trees in all their glory. Some even opt for a morning session to avoid the crowds.

After splashing and getting sand between our toes, we said our goodbyes, though not before chatting by our cars for a good half-hour. As we reminisce on their session, enjoy a collection of our favorite moments from their enchanting engagement!
