That Saturday was a gorgeous day in Fort Lauderdale when we arrived at The Dalmar Hotel. It was our first time photographing a wedding at The Dalmar, but it would not be the last – quite simply it’s an absolutely stunning venue! The space perfectly complemented Brooke and Ryan’s luxurious champagne and ivory wedding.

Our time with the couple began at Brooke’s hotel suite. The girls were getting pampered by Barbie Annitto and Cynfulmakeup who were working their magic with everyone’s hair and makeup. That was then followed by quick getting ready photos and then a ‘first touch’ between the wedding couple. The couple chose not to have a First Look, so we made sure to get portraits of them with their families separately. This allows us to spend less time on family portraits after the ceremony. In turn, it allows the couple to enjoy more of their cocktail hour! It was important to them that they get to spend as much time with family and friends during their day!

One of the things I remember most from their wedding day was how they and their wedding party brought such great energy and vibes from start to finish. Brooke and Ryan were surrounded by only their closest family and friends, who joined them for a glamorous celebration. As a photographer, you know that it was a good day when your ‘work’ didn’t feel so much like one. It felt more like celebrating with friends. Brooke and Ryan, thank you for allowing us in your inner circle for a day, and trusting us to capture your wedding day! Congratulations, and we’re wishing you all the blessings as you both embark on this new chapter in both your lives as one!
