A Joyful Spring Wedding at Primrose Cottage | Michelle & John

hi, i'm nicole

I'm a portrait and wedding photographer, a lover of coffee, and can listen to acoustic cover songs all day long.

Do the people you’re celebrating your wedding with mean a lot to you?

Because that’s exactly what mattered most on their day.

Michelle and John had already made things official, but this day wasn’t about the paperwork. It was about finally getting to celebrate with all of their favorite people in one place. From the very beginning, the entire day felt light, joyful, and completely unforced, like nothing was trying too hard, and everything just naturally fell into place.

Their vision was simple and elegant, but what stood out most wasn’t the details. It was the people. The laughter, the constant smiles, the way everyone leaned in a little closer. It was so clear how deeply loved they are. It was the kind of day where you could feel the connection in every moment.

They traveled from Seattle to celebrate here in Georgia, choosing Primrose Cottage in Roswell as the backdrop for their spring wedding day, and it couldn’t have been more fitting. With florals in bloom and soft color all around, the setting complemented the tone of the day so effortlessly.

And while their day took place under bright midday light, it never felt harsh or overwhelming. Instead, it became an opportunity to slow down, to be intentional, and to find the kind of pockets that allowed their story to still feel soft and true to them. Between the beautiful indoor spaces and quiet corners throughout the venue, every part of their day held space for both joy and calm.

As the day unfolded, one thing became so evident. This wasn’t about creating a perfectly styled wedding. It was about being fully present. And because of that, everything else fell into place.

By the time the reception began, the energy in the room shifted into full celebration. The dance floor filled quickly, laughter echoed through the space, and it felt less like a formal event and more like one big, shared moment between people who genuinely love being together.

I found myself overshooting throughout the day, simply because there were so many moments you didn’t want to miss.

Days like this are such a good reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to be over the top to be unforgettable. When the focus is on what truly matters, the people, the connection, and the experience, it creates something far more meaningful than anything you could try to manufacture.

Michelle and John’s day was exactly that. Simple, intentional, and full of life.

The Blog

I’m a travel enthusiast who calls Georgia home sweet home. I’m drawn to spontaneous adventure just as much as I value familiar routine — especially slow mornings with coffee in hand and my pup close by.
I believe the best photographs come from real connection and thoughtful intention. If connection and intention matter to you, you’re in the right place.
