A Pretty Engineer From Georgia Tech | Senior Portraits
Graduation is such a special time in anyone’s life. It marks the end of a long journey, and also the start of another one. It’s a time to reflect back on all the tremendous, hard work you put into the last few years. All the late-night study sessions, and weekends given up in exchange to cram for that upcoming exam. Ah, yes, I remember it like it was yesterday!
I met Nyya a few years ago, when I still lived in Georgia. She’s actually my little brother’s girlfriend! The growth in her from then to now still amazes me. This young woman not only has beauty, but brains as well! A bachelor’s in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech? You go girl!
I had never stepped foot onto Georgia Tech’s campus so when she told me she wanted to do her senior portrait there, I was all up for it! The campus was beautiful! Carmen and I drove around, searching for spots that seemed ‘picture-worthy’… it was not easy trying to find any ‘bright and airy’ locations, but the few that we did, boy was I relieved!
The session was so much fun to capture! The universe must have been on our side, because a predicted rainy day turned out otherwise. I love when the people I photograph bring a variety of props, and this was anything but short of them! For our finale, Nyya asked if we could do a ‘confetti’ shot, and since I’ve only ever stalked Pinterest of similar images, of course I agreed! (I can neither confirm nor deny whether any traces of gold confetti found on campus was ours). Congratulations Nyya and good luck to you and your future endeavors!!
I'm a traveling bug who calls Georgia home sweet home. I try and live life with equal parts spontaneous adventure and familiar routine, and cherish the mornings when I can just sit and enjoy my cup of coffee snuggled with my pup! I'm so glad you stopped by and can't wait for us to get to know each other!
